A pram is one of the biggest things you'll buy before the baby arrives, and the right one depends far more on your boot, your front door and your daily walk than on the badge. Here are the ten we'd shortlist, from budget to premium, plus our picks for twins, travel and tight boots.

Safety report: GOV.UK product safety report 2606-0149 (14 Aug 2026): Nipper V6 batches P-250119, P-250120, P-250066, P-250067 and P-250068 may have a welding defect that could cause the buggy to fold unexpectedly. The batch number is on the frame under the seat (reach in via the basket). If you have an affected batch, stop using it and register with Out’n’About’s inspection and repair programme. If you buy one, check the batch number on arrival.

Recall: GOV.UK recall 2410-0182 (21 Feb 2025): YOYO3 prams with serial numbers starting 142AA followed by a number below 0062239 have a parking-brake issue. Serials without “AA” aren’t affected. Check the serial under the pram on the Stokke recall checker, including on a new purchase.
We shortlisted products that are widely sold in the UK and currently listed on Amazon UK, then compared manufacturer specifications and age guidance. What's the difference between a pram, a pushchair and a travel system?
A pram usually means a lie-flat carrycot for newborns. A pushchair (or stroller) has a seat unit. A travel system adds a compatible infant car seat that clips onto the chassis.
Can a newborn go in a pushchair?
Only if it lies fully flat or has a carrycot or newborn pack. Check the manufacturer's age guidance on the product page.
How do I know if a pram will fit my boot?
Compare the manufacturer's folded dimensions with your boot measurements before you buy.
What's the best pram for twins?
Side-by-side doubles such as the Out'n'About Nipper Double give both children an equal view. Tandems like the Graco Stadium Duo put one seat behind the other.
Why don't you show prices?
Prices change often. We group products into budget, mid-range and premium bands, so check the current price on the retailer's site.
